What if the plate has no clear window?
Then the document says so. A period the tradition treats as closed is a real answer, and it is reported rather than dressed up as a soft yes.
What if I do not know my birth time?
Write unknown. The hour pillar is withheld and the reading says plainly which parts it can and cannot speak to. Nothing is invented to fill the gap.
