What Lian Zhen is
Lian Zhen is the most double-edged of the fourteen, and the texts read it two ways depending on company: as principle, or as the appetite that principle is holding down. Its palace is where you have strong views and strong pull.
Both readings share a mechanism, which is intensity that does not moderate itself. It arrives as discipline or as rebellion and rarely as anything in between. What a reading looks for is which of the two the surrounding stars are feeding.
