What Tian Fu is
Tian Fu is the holding star, the counterweight to Zi Wei 紫微 and its direction. Its palace is where you conserve, manage and keep a reserve, and where you are unlikely to be caught without one.
The tendency to watch is a preference for keeping over using. A treasury that is never spent from is a well-defended way of going nowhere, and the texts are clear that Tian Fu’s caution is an asset only while something else in the chart is willing to move.
