兄弟 is the palace of equals. Brothers and sisters are the obvious case, and the subject is broader than that: it covers close collaborators, the people who work beside you rather than for or above you, and the give and take that runs between you.
The word to hold onto is level. A relationship belongs here when neither person is the one in charge.
Read it with Friends opposite it
This palace faces 僕役 Friends, the wider social field. Classical practice never reads a palace on its own, and this pairing is one of the more legible ones.
The two are the same question at two distances. Siblings covers the handful of people close enough to argue with; Friends covers the network beyond that, and the support or friction that comes from it. A chart can be busy at one distance and quiet at the other, and noticing that gap is most of what the pair is for.
