What Yang Earth is

Your day master is the single character your whole chart is measured against. Yang Earth is the fifth of the ten heavenly stems, and the classical image is the mountain or the embankment: something that holds its position, and that other things arrange themselves around.

Here is the part a trait list will not tell you. Yang Earth accumulates. It takes on responsibilities, people and obligations at a rate it barely registers, because each one individually is carryable, and it has no natural mechanism for putting them down. Nothing about being dependable tells you when to stop being available. The skill is deciding what you are load-bearing for on purpose.

Does Yang Earth mean I am stubborn?

It means change is expensive rather than unwelcome, which reads as stubbornness from outside. A mountain is not refusing to move; moving is simply a large operation, and charts like this tend to make one considered change rather than several quick ones.

What does Yang Earth need in a chart?

Classically, something to give it shape and something to keep it from going hard: wood to break it up and water to keep it workable. Which of those a particular chart is short of is exactly what an element count is for.
