Steady Wealth 正财
zhèng cái · also translated as Direct WealthMoney that arrives because you did the work and waited. The ten god of earned income, prudence and results you can point at.
What Steady Wealth is
Steady Wealth is an element your day master controls, in the opposite polarity. It is the second of the two wealth gods, sharing its mechanism with Open Wealth and differing only in whether the polarity matches.
Classical practice calls the opposite-polarity pairing the direct form, and treats it as the orderly one. That is a structural description rather than a compliment: the two gods are equally real and neither is the correct version of the other.
How it reads
The theme is earned income, prudence and tangible results. Where Open Wealth goes and finds, Steady Wealth accumulates: the return that arrives because the work was done and the time passed.
Classical practice places it with salaried work, with finance and with operations. With money it is reliable accumulation rather than variance. In how you relate to people it reads as committed and dependable, ties that are built rather than found.
The gap between the two wealth gods is worth sitting with, because most charts hold some of each and the interesting question is which one a person actually acts on when both are available.
Why the same god reads two ways
Like every wealth god, this one draws on the day master to hold it.
A supported day master reads Steady Wealth as exactly its name: patience that pays, results that stay put. It is among the least dramatic readings in the whole system and among the most durable.
An unsupported day master finds the same relation heavy. The obligation is still there and the patience is still required, but the chart lacks what it takes to see it through, and steadiness becomes grind.
Same relation, opposite reading. What decides it is the balance of the whole chart, not this page.
Common questions
NotesIs Steady Wealth better than Open Wealth?
Neither is better. They are the same relation in two polarities, and which one serves a person depends entirely on the chart around it. A chart that needs consolidation is well served by Steady Wealth; one that needs movement finds it slow.
Does it mean I should take a salaried job?
It describes a tendency, not an instruction. Classical practice associates it with salaried work, finance and operations, all of which reward patience and accuracy. Whether that suits the life you are actually building is a question the chart cannot answer on its own.
Why is it called "direct"?
Because the polarity is opposite to the day master, which classical practice reads as the direct or proper form of a relation. The naming is structural rather than a judgement: direct does not mean better, it means the pairing that classical texts treat as the orderly one.

The relation, its polarity and the stem that produces it for each day master are computed from the same function the readings use, never typed. What the relation tends to mean follows the classical texts listed below.
